Adlab wins national best of show at American Advertising Awards
June 10, 2017 – The Adlab wins big on the national scene with the AAF American Advertising Awards. The Adlab was awarded the Best in Show, a Judges Choice Award, 6 Gold Addys and 2 Silver Addys. The national Best of Show was also awarded a cash prize of $1,000.
May 25, 2017 – A team of students from the BYU Adlab competed in the National Collegiate Effie competition in New York City and brought home the 1st Place Collegiate Effie. College teams from around the country competed in the challenge from IBM Watson. Congratulations to Timmy Bates, Jordan Larsen, Lizzi Perkins and David Shum who cracked the brief and brought the 1st Place Effie back to the Adlab. The Adlab has entered the Effies four times in four years and won the Collegiate Effie two times and come in second one time.
Adlab wins One show pencils – Ranked top 10 in the world
May 13, 2017 – The BYU Adlab brings home two shiny new pencils at The One Club/The Young Ones competition in New York City. Two projects were awarded bronze pencils for BMW Connected, “If I Only Had a Brain TV Spot” and Partners for Peace, “Emoji Extinction” mobile app. In addition, a merit was awarded for Partners for Peace, “Room for One More.” The One Club awarded 28 pencils internationally. Check out the award-winning entries. With the pencils and one additional merit award, the BYU Adlab ranked in the top 10 in the country for the One Show Competition.
Two Adlab Students win first ever One Show portfolio competition
May 11, 2017 – Congratulations to Scott James and Jason Murray who were both selected for The One Show Young Ones Portfolio Competition. The first ever competition from the One Club was held during Creative Week hosted by the One Club in New York City. Twelve portfolios were selected from a large field of international portfolios.
