AUGUST 2016 – AdLab graduate turned Wieden + Kennedy Art Director Cameron Soane comes out swinging with a powerful new Powerade spot. A 30-second version of the ad, which starred 19-year-old amateur boxer Shakur Stevenson, earned ample screen time during the 2016 Rio Summer Olympics.

Pierce Thiot New Creative Director at Anomaly L.A.
JULY 2016 – Former AdLab student Pierce Thiot joined 24 other creative minds as part of Anomaly’s new Los Angeles office. Thoit, who previously worked for TBWA\Chiat\Day L.A. will work alongside Kathleen Swanson as one of the agency’s new creative directors. Read it on Adweek.
JUNE 2016 – AdLab alum Brent Anderson was recently named Chief Creative Officer of TBWA\Chiat\Day L.A. after a number of internal executive leadership moves. Anderson, who joined the agency in 2004 as a senior art director for the Nissan account, has since gone on to produce work for several major accounts including the Grammys, Gatorade, and Adidas. JUNE 2016 – Former AdLab students Stew Tribe and Dan Hales celebrated National Donut Day by bringing some heat to the kitchen. Combining the force of a 350-horsepower Nissan 370Z NISMO and 2,800 pounds of sprinkles, the duo was able to decorate more than 300 deep-fried delights. Read it on Mashable.
