Lerma Creative Director David Morring inspires with “He Gets Us” Campaign

David Morring, the creative director behind the recent “He Gets Us” campaign, visited campus on April 6 and spoke to comms students. David is an accomplished, award-winning Creative Director at LERMA. David shared ideas about how to stay true to your faith while working in the creative world. The “He Gets Us” campaign, which aired during the 2023 Super Bowl, was unique in its message centered around inviting people to know Jesus Christ.

“I was really moved by David’s story and his example of how God has used him throughout his career to do good, but also helping him get to the point where he is now,” said comms senior Annabelle Peterson (advertising). “One of my favorite parts of David’s message to students,” said Peterson, “was the idea that Christ will find you and use you. As a student, this really hit me and made me realize that God will meet me where I am and use me and my talents to bless His children. He will use all of us if we let Him.”

Morring also encouraged students to “be your unique you.” Our alumni continue to inspire us as they show us how they are using their comms experience and education to share the light and hope of Christ with the world.
