Adlab Students Take 2nd Place in National WMSF Competition

Comms students Katie Russell and Harrison Haycock (advertising) took part in a week-long experience in Washington, DC. As part of the Washington Media Scholars Foundation Media Plan Case Competition, the students were able to network with some of the top minds in the media industry. They visited new media outlets, including the Washington Post, Politico, iHeart Radio, and other prestigious organizations. The culminating moment in the week came when the students presented their work to a panel of media professionals. Katie and Harrison represented the School of Communications well by taking second place in the competition. The photos of each of the media scholars were printed in a full-page ad in the Washington Post on 6/9.

Founded in 2009 by Robin D.
