Adlab Wins Big in the Telly Awards
The BYU AdLab was awarded an astounding 27 TELLY Awards. Congrats to all of this year’s senior students for producing some amazing award winning work.
Young Ones from Brigham Young University
The BYU AdLab had some tremendous success at the One Club for Creativity’s 2022 Young Ones Competition. The School of communications was well represented winning 62 total awards over three competitions, The Young Ones ADC Awards, The Young Ones One Show, and the Young Ones Portfolio Award.
Adlab Grabs 1st Place in District 12 AAF NSAC
The BYU AdLab took first place in District 12 for the AAF National Student Advertising Competition for their campaign for Meta Quest 2. The judges were very impressed and commented that team BYU kind of blew them away with how awesome the presentation was and they could put it in front of a client right now.
Madison Hill and Andrew Rhee Have Promise
BYU AdLab students, Madison Hill and Andrew Rhee were recognized as two of the top 50 Most Promising Multicultural Students in the country by the American Advertising Federation (AAF), and were hosted for a virtual NYC conference with mentoring, networking, workshops, agency visits, recruiting and an awards gala.

The BYU AdLab has received all three nominees in the Student Emmy for TV Commercial/PSA from the College Television Awards. This is a remarkable feat to sweep the nominees all from one program
La Pieza – Si, por favor. Adlab Win’s Grand Prix
Advertising Students in Jeff Sheets Comms 398R class were invited to compete in an International Advertising competition in South America, called La Pieza, sponsored by Universidad de Desarollo in Santiago, Chile. The briefs were set to tackle some of the world’s largest social issues and this year’s briefs dealt with: Inequity in childhood education, the global climate crisis, and digital addiction.
Sparknotes Sparks AICP Award
The School of Communications via the BYU AdLab just won an AICP Student Commercial Award! for Sparknotes – In Summary, Short. https://www.aicpawards.com/show/summarized In addition, the BYU Adlab had seven other entires on the shortlist.
